Job summary

J T is seeking a Database Engineer (Level 3) to architect relational and object-oriented databases and develop parser and loading software. You will drive design from lifecycle requirements through IOC, balancing data volume, concurrency, security, and performance to support the system architecture.

Requirements include 10+ years of database engineering experience, a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, and active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Ten years of experience as a Database Engineer on programs/contracts of similar scope.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Extensive experience with Oracle Database, OEM, and Data Guard.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead the development of database structures, schemas, parser tools, and loading software aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Manage technical requirements from project inception through testing and IOC, providing strategic recommendations for system optimization.
• Translate complex requirements into functional database schemas by building, refining, and automating ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros.
• Build advanced systems leveraging ODBC and cloud-based storage/retrieval methodologies.
• Evaluate and balance trade-offs involving scale, access controls, performance, distribution, and security.
