RSM US LLP in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Senior Database Developer for a temporary engagement to lead a critical modernization of a legacy system for a financial services client. You will analyze current schemas, translate complex logic into scalable models, and build auditable, high-performance data structures.

The role requires 8–10 years in SQL Server development/DBA, data modeling, ETL (SSIS), and strong data governance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in SQL Server development/DBA, data modeling, and large-scale database environments (financial services preferred).
• Strong expertise in: Data migration, ETL (e.g., SSIS), data analysis, data quality, and writing/optimizing stored procedures (SPROCs).
• Proven experience delivering high-performance, auditable database solutions.
• Experience implementing data controls, security, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Nice-to-have: SSRS/Tableau, Snowflake/Databricks, .NET stack, DevSecOps.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze existing database architecture, decipher complex logic, and assess current data models.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into scalable database solutions.
• Design and develop new data models, schemas, and database objects aligned with performance standards.
• Build and optimize tables, stored procedures, and controls to ensure data integrity, performance, and auditability.
• Implement data governance controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal security requirements.
• Support iterative development and refine database structures as requirements evolve.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on data modeling best practices.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment using Jira and Confluence.
