Job summary

RSM US LLP in Edison, New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Database Developer for a temporary engagement to lead the modernization of a legacy system for a financial services client.

You will analyze existing database architecture, translate complex business logic into scalable data models, design new schemas, and build high-performance, auditable structures while mentoring team members in an Agile setting with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
8-10 years in SQL Server development/DBA and data modeling.
Experience with data migration, ETL, and SSIS.
Experience designing high-performance, auditable data solutions.

Responsibilities

Analyze existing database architecture and data models.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Design and develop new data models, schemas, and database objects.
Build and optimize tables, SPROCs, and controls.
Implement data governance and security compliance.
Support iterative development in Agile with Jira/Confluence.
Mentor teammates on data modeling best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally within an Agile environment.
