Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to help manage SQL Server and other data platforms. You will ensure scalable, secure databases and participate in on‑call rotations across private and cloud environments.

The role requires a strong background in T‑SQL, performance tuning, backups, and cross‑platform tooling, with a focus on reliability and automation in a global team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the US (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain database servers and KPI monitoring/alerting.
• Chart database use over time to identify scaling opportunities.
• Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action.
• Suggest optimizations to developers for T‑SQL tuning.
• In‑depth query execution plan expertise.
• Use SQL Server query store for performance analysis.
• Perform on‑call rotations and incident reviews.
• Manage backups and integrity checks across databases.
• Install, configure, and support SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
