Job summary

The State of Florida, Department of Law Enforcement, is seeking a Senior Data Base Analyst to support production systems and database administration. The role focuses on Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL databases, ensuring availability, integrity and performance.

You will work in a full-time capacity, collaborate with database management teams, implement standards, monitor databases, and participate in testing, recovery and optimization activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data administration concepts.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server and MYSQL database management system technologies.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server and MYSQL internals, data structures, and memory management.
• Knowledge of computer programming, systems analysis, systems design, principles and practices.
• Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of computer and client/server technologies.
• Knowledge of Oracle Network connectivity.
• Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL Languages.
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Creating, modifying and monitoring physical databases to ensure database availability, integrity and efficiency.
• Analyzing and troubleshooting database integrity and availability problems.
• Ensuring each database is available for usage and users can retrieve and manipulate data from the database, with minimal downtime.
• Reviewing, coding (where applicable), testing (where applicable), implementing, monitoring, controlling, and maintaining the physical and logical database software, configurations and definitions for each database.
• Adhering to ITS coding, testing, implementation standards and procedures; and
• Analyzing, planning, developing and performing database integrity checks, database recovery, and database monitoring.
