Job summary

State of Florida, Tallahassee, seeks a Data Base Consultant to provide Oracle database consultation and oversight. The role covers design, modeling, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle EE databases on-premises and in OCI.

The candidate will manage development, testing, production, and data warehousing databases, ensuring performance, security, and uptime while collaborating with DEP OTIS and other teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing Oracle Enterprise 12c or 19c databases.
• 5+ years troubleshooting Oracle DB administration and connections.
• 5+ years monitoring Oracle performance metrics.
• 3+ years reviewing physical schema models.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain DBs for development, testing, production, data warehousing, and public access.
• Monitor and review DB systems for efficiency, integrity, and security; address hardware/software issues.
• Plan and execute database migrations/upgrades to maintain current long-term releases.
• Monitor performance across dev, beta, and prod; perform OS and DB patching for OCI DB systems.
• Identify customer needs and provide excellent service.
