Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Database Solutions Architect for Healthcare and Life Sciences. The role focuses on designing end-to-end database solutions, guiding migrations, and advising customers on data workloads in the cloud.

You will engage with customers to drive migrations, optimize performance, and influence roadmaps while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure database architectures.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Commercial relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
• Non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redis, Couchbase, Neptune, Neo4j)

Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end database solutions for HCLS customers.
• Lead migration assessments, performance optimizations, and architecture reviews.
• Provide strategic technical guidance through 1:1 advisory sessions and workshops.
• Drive database service adoption and revenue by contributing to GTM content and mentoring field Solutions Architects.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to translate customer requirements into enhancements.
• Stay current with trends in Database, Analytics, and Generative AI to help customers innovate.
