Job summary

RegEd is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to maintain and improve existing databases and help design new systems using the latest techniques. You will handle design, performance tuning, complex SQL, and incident resolution while aligning with data team goals.

You will work with management and other teams to implement strategic data solutions, improve efficiency, and ensure security and compliance. A service‑oriented mindset and ownership are essential as you manage multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years database analysis, programming or similar experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent
• Extensive hands‑on experience in SQL 2016 and higher
• Hands on experience with Azure cloud databases and related services
• Experience writing complex database procedures, functions and triggers
• Understanding of execution plans and dynamic SQL
• Strong understanding of database structures and practices

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects across on‑premise and cloud environments
• Optimize queries and develop efficient SQL code
• Lead investigation and resolution of database incidents
• Build and maintain database monitoring infrastructure for alerts and dashboards
• Support security and compliance using encryption and data masking
• Advise on data retention, tiering, and archival strategies
• Coordinate with Architecture, QA, App Development and Infra teams
