Job summary
La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking an experienced database leader to direct the performance, integrity, and security of Microsoft and Oracle databases. You will manage vendor relationships and licenses and guide a team of DBAs.
The role requires 6–8 years of database experience with 1–3 years in supervision, strong SQL, and Windows Server expertise. Travel up to 10–15% may be required as part of project work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field required.
- 6–8 years of experience with 1–3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
- Proven experience with database concepts/design/deployment and recovery techniques.
- Experience with Windows Server and SQL clustering.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and leads database initiatives including upgrades, patches, security, and new roles.
- Establishes strategies for optimal performance and availability of Microsoft and Oracle databases.
- Maintains proactive performance through patch management, indexing, and optimization.
- Ensures compliance with incident management, SDLC, change management, and data security policies.
- Leads data capacity planning, replication, and data architecture for enterprise systems.
- Mentors junior DBAs and coordinates third-party resources.
