Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 15 years combined experience in database administration.
• Experience with DB2 for z/OS.
• Experience with SQL Server 2008R2 and 2012.
• Experience with Oracle 10g and above.
• Ability to develop database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments.
• Ability to work as part of a team to develop an overall data architecture.
• Ability to meet Department and Agency for State Technology (AST) security standards.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management, and database administration.
• Advanced knowledge of upgrading DB2 for z/OS.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS catalog maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS subsystem point-in-time recovery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas meet department data requirements and standards.
• Assist in the design, development, amendment, and optimization of database schemas.
• Develop database and data warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments.
• Assist in developing an overall data architecture supporting department needs and AST security standards.
• Perform daily operational and database administration activities for DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and GIS.
• Plan, design, implement, and support database structures.
• Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
• Perform SQL code reviews.
• Assist with training and mentoring other technical staff.
• Perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested.
