Qualifications

• 10+ years of database administration experience.
• Experience with MySQL, Oracle, and Linux; SQL Server is a plus.
• Ability to obtain U.S. government clearance; US citizenship or green card required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and monitor database systems supporting the FDA website, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Assist with database operations, user connectivity, security, backup and recovery, data integrity, updates, and reporting.
• Perform installation of instances, tuning, space management, and configuration for optimal performance and scalability.
• Set up High Availability (RAC) and Disaster Recovery (RMAN) solutions to minimize downtime.
• Determine and implement best practices for database setup, monitoring, backup, recovery, installation, tuning, and auditing.
• Manage backups and conduct regular recovery testing to ensure data can be restored quickly.
