Etsy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Data Storage squad in the New York area. You will blend hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to guide data tooling at scale and align with business priorities.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with internal data customers, and drive end-to-end data storage solutions while shaping technical direction and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong communication capable of influencing stakeholders across teams and leadership levels.
• Experience with BigQuery, Iceberg and cloud storage at scale.
• Experience writing and tuning sophisticated SQL queries for data exploration and analysis.
• Ability to guide architectural direction while being receptive to feedback.
• Collaborative mindset across diverse roles and departments.
• Interest and experience mentoring and growing other engineers.
• Willingness to learn new languages and tools as needed to get the job done.

Responsibilities
