Senior Data Steward, Master Data

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of master data across SAP and related business systems. Supports data governance, system functionality, reporting, and process improvements while partnering with IT, Operations, Sales, Finance, and other departments to ensure efficient business execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain master data within SAP and integrated business applications, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
• Oversee customer, vendor, material, pricing, and product master data creation, maintenance, and updates.
• Monitor data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain accurate system records.
• Partner with IT and business teams to improve master data processes, system functionality, and operational efficiencies.
• Support SAP S/4HANA and related system enhancements, integrations, and ongoing maintenance.
• Analyze business processes and data trends to identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
• Develop and maintain data management procedures, reporting tools, and documentation.
• Support mass data updates, conversions, and system changes using SAP tools and automation solutions.
• Troubleshoot SAP and master data issues, identify root causes, and coordinate system corrections.
• Participate in system testing, implementations, upgrades, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Planning, and Distribution teams to support accurate order processing and business transactions.
• Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools used to support business operations.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on master data processes, system functionality, and data accuracy requirements.
• Support EDI transactions, customer setup, product information, pricing updates, and related business processes.
• Work with IT and external system partners to improve integrations, reporting capabilities, and overall data management.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience in master data management, data governance, SAP administration, or related business systems.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP, preferably S/4HANA, and SAP Master Data Governance.
• Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), customer and material master data, and related business processes.
• Understanding of data integrations, EDI transactions, and order management systems.
• Experience with SAP system testing, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and related data management tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
• Apparel, wholesale, retail, or consumer products industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
