The Senior Data Specialist will contribute to the integrity, maintenance and management of advancement information through data entry, information management and reporting within the Data Management unit. The Senior Data Specialist is expected to uphold and exemplify the operating practices and mission of Florida State University.
Complete routine data updates for assigned functional areas (for example, volunteer data, or constituent attributes, or employment data) or from software platforms from which data updates are received.
Creates and updates database records, which may include but are not limited to demographic, employment, relationship, contact and affiliation information. Reviews, proofreads and/or analyzes data with a critical eye for accuracy, logic and relevance.
Uses a variety of on-line resources for problem-solving purposes. Maintains information in a variety of formats including network files and digital images. Manages digital documents through indexing, scanning and auditing.
Merges and reviews data from the database into spreadsheet or word processing documents. Performs queries and exports/imports in the database.
High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
