Job summary

Databricks Inc. is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Atlanta, GA to work in the Professional Services team on big data challenges using the Databricks platform.

You will deliver data engineering, data science, and cloud projects, training, and client-specific tasks to maximize value from data. RSAs are billable and coordinate with engineers and customers to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics.
• Experience with two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
• Working knowledge of MLOps
• Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures
• Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines.
• Documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
• Travel to customers 20% of the time
• Databricks Certification

Responsibilities

• Design and build reference architectures and production-ready use cases.
• Scope professional services engagements with input from the customer.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end big data and AI deployments.
• Consult on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement customer projects.
• Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to deliver engagement components to match needs.
