Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Data/Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into trusted insights across the Federal Reserve System. You will work with CADRE and staff in the Economic Research division using Agile/DevOps practices to deliver high-quality data products.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and 6–15+ years of experience, strong SQL in PostgreSQL/MySQL, expertise in Tableau dashboards, AWS, and cloud

Qualifications

6–15+ years of relevant experience, level-dependent.
Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent.
Extensive SQL on PostgreSQL/MySQL for data querying/manipulation.
Advanced data analytics with Tableau dashboards and reports.
Experience with AWS and cloud data warehouses (RedShift/Snowflake).
Proficient in Python and PySpark; GitLab version control.
Familiarity with Databricks, Collibra, Starburst and ETL workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions.
Ensure data integrity with QA practices and governance.
Collaborate across teams using Agile/DevOps methodologies.
Develop dashboards and reports aligned with business needs.
Participate in ETL/ELT projects and cloud deployments.
