GovCIO is seeking a highly experienced Data Security Analyst — Master to lead the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security controls that protect data, networks, applications, and cloud-connected environments.

This senior individual-contributor role requires deep hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Networks portfolio— Panorama, Cortex, Strata— plus Cisco networking capabilities. The position is fully remote within the United States.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity, including hands-on firewall administration and incident response.
• Deep expertise with Palo Alto next-generation firewalls in complex environments.
• Advanced Panorama experience for centralized policy administration and governance.
• Strong knowledge of Strata, including NGFW architecture and policy optimization.
• Experience with Cortex for detection, IR, threat hunting, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage Palo Alto firewalls across data centers and cloud.
• Lead centralized firewall management using Panorama and HA workflows.
• Design and tune security policies with least privilege and app‑ID controls.
• Deploy Cortex for security analytics and incident response.
• Collaborate across Security Operations Center and Cloud Engineering.
• Perform risk assessments and maintain network security diagrams.
