Job summary

Linktree seeks a Senior Data Scientist on its Trust team to protect platform integrity. You will define how to measure harm, assess risk, and improve detection and mitigation systems at scale.

You will own core measurement frameworks, refine scoring models, and build dashboards to monitor platform risk, working with Engineering, Product, Policy, Legal, and Operations. The role emphasizes ML/LLM safety, ground truth design, and evaluating model performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Data Scientist in a product-driven tech company.
• Experience in Trust & Safety or risk-focused domains.
• Ability to define and operationalize metric frameworks (e.g., prevalence, recall, FP rate).
• Experience evaluating ML models, including offline evaluation and production monitoring.
• Advanced SQL and Python for analytics and modeling.
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation design, and causal inference.
• Experience with analytics stacks (DBT, Dagster, Airflow).
• Dashboard design and data visualization with Looker/Tableau/PowerBI.
• Excellent communication translating statistical findings to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field; MS/PhD a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and operationalize core Trust metric frameworks anchoring cross-functional goals.
• Refine scoring model to assess quality and risk.
• Build and maintain production datasets and dashboards for risk visibility.
• Identify emerging abuse patterns and translate findings into priorities.
• Define evaluation frameworks for ML detection and safety systems.
• Monitor model health in production (precision, recall, calibration, drift).
• Support Trust incident response with rapid analysis and postmortems.
• Communicate risk trends and model performance through visuals and narratives.
