Job summary

Linktree is seeking a Senior Data Scientist on the Trust team to define how we measure harm, assess platform risk, and improve detection and mitigation systems across engineering, product, policy, and legal. You will build and scale the core measurement framework that underpins Trust at Linktree, establishing clear, defensible definitions of harm prevalence, enforcement effectiveness, and user impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Data Scientist in a product-driven tech company.
• Direct experience in Trust & Safety, Integrity, Fraud, Security, or risk-focused domains.
• Ability to define and operationalize metric frameworks (e.g., Prevalence, Recall, FPR).
• Experience evaluating ML models, offline/production, and monitoring.
• Fluency in SQL and Python for advanced analytics and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Define and operationalize core Trust metric frameworks that anchor company-wide goals.
• Refine and validate scoring model for quality and risk.
• Build and maintain production-grade datasets and dashboards for platform risk.
• Identify abmuse patterns and translate findings into priorities for product, policy, ops, and eng.
• Partner with Engineering to define evaluation frameworks for ML/LLM safety with ground truth design.
• Monitor model health in production (precision, recall, calibration, drift) and surface degradation or bias.
• Support Trust incident response with rapid analysis and postmortems.
• Communicate risk trends and model performance through clear visualizations and executive narratives.
