Job summary

Fanatics Commerce seeks a Senior Data Scientist for Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization to lead ML-driven modeling, demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and inventory balancing across our global platform.

You will own the full model lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, product, and operations to deliver decision-support tools that improve efficiency and financial performance while guiding product strategy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building and deploying predictive models in production or operational environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with Spark or distributed computing.
• Deep expertise in time series forecasting using classical methods and ML-based approaches.
• Experience applying discrete optimization techniques to pricing, clearance, or network design.
• Familiarity with simulation-based modeling and tradeoff analysis for operational decisions.
• Experience with feature engineering and EDA-driven insight development.
• Strong communication skills to explain modeling tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering, product, and operations to frame complex supply chain problems.
• Translate analytical models into decisions and tools adopted by teams.
• Deliver decision-support tools and stakeholder-facing reporting.
• Own the full model development lifecycle from framing to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop scalable pipelines and automation tools using Python and cloud infrastructure.
