Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join the Digital Technology Analytics & Automation Applied AI team. You will collaborate across RTX and business units to develop analytic products deployed on AWS and Azure, translating complex findings into actionable insights for senior leadership.

You will mentor data scientists, establish technical standards, and deploy scalable data products using MLOps, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and visualization tools like Tableau/PowerBI.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
• Experience with Python development (numpy, scipy, scikit-image, and scikit-learn) for integration into statistical and/or machine learning applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Raytheon, and RTX business units to develop analytic products for agile delivery spanning functional and program areas using AWS and Azure platforms
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Serve as a technical authority and mentor for data scientists, analysts, and business partners.
• Influence organizational standards by researching and deploying technical solutions for business partners
• Use commercial software development processes: good software hygiene regarding code documentation, unit testing, bug tracking, version control, MLOps concepts, processes, and technologies for solution development
