RTX is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Matillion, Databricks and AI-driven automation. You will collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions, perform data modeling, and optimize SQL for analysis and transformation.

The role emphasizes data security, governance, and documentation, with opportunities to work across a range of data platforms in a remote-capable setting.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize and maintain scalable data workflows and pipelines in Matillion leveraging AI-driven automation to process data from various sources using Matillion, HVR and Databricks.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, architects and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform data modeling to design and structure databases that support business requirements.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data analysis, transformation and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Adhere to and advocate established best practices, design patterns, and data governance mandates.
• Document data processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
