Veracyte is seeking a data scientist III (contractor) to join the Data Analysis Team (DAT) within the R&D group. You will analyze millions of real‑world insurance claims and EHR data to define clinical treatments and outcomes, and perform ETL and statistical analyses to turn data into actionable insights.

You will visualize results, prepare figures for manuscripts, and design graphics to explain AI models with clinical/genomic features.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent field (or Master + 4+ years).
• Experience with real-world insurance claims and EHR data.
• Strong SQL and R skills; data cleaning and visualization with tidyverse/ggplot.

Aufgaben

• Analyze real-world data to identify clinical and business patterns.
• Identify key clinical events using CPT, NDC, ICD codes and free text.
• Perform statistical analysis and survival modelling of clinical events.
• Visualize findings and summarize data-driven stories.
• Support development of digital pathology AI models.
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians, statisticians and clinicians on manuscripts.
