Job summary

the company, Inc. is seeking a talented data scientist III (contractor) to join the Data Analysis Team (DAT) for AI/ML modelling and analysis of a vast cancer patient database.

You will work with real-world insurance claims and EHR data to derive clinically meaningful insights and publish findings. The ideal candidate has strong ETL, statistical analysis, and data visualization skills, with experience in survival modelling and leading manuscripts.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or equivalent; or Master with 4+ years of relevant post-graduate experience.
• Experience with real-world insurance claims and EHR data.
• Expert in SQL and R or equivalent.
• Strong data cleaning, manipulation, and visualization using tidyverse/ggplot in R.
• Proficient in survival modelling and hypothesis testing.
• Experience in cloud computing environments (AWS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-world data to identify patterns in clinical and business cases.
• Identify key clinical events using CPT, NDC, ICD codes and structured data.
• Perform statistical analysis and survival modelling on real-world data.
• Visualize findings and summarize in coherent stories.
• Support data scientists in developing digital pathology AI models.
• Collaborate with Bioinformaticians and medical experts on manuscripts.
