Job summary

Tempus is seeking a highly motivated RWE Data Scientist II to lead observational studies in oncology. You will derive insights from real-world clinical data, apply time-to-event analyses, and leverage AI tools to scale code development and reporting.

The role demands strong communication with cross-functional teams, collaboration across product, clinical, and data science groups, and adherence to rigorous methodological standards.

Qualifications

• Education in epidemiology, biostatistics, or data science; PhD or MSc with 2+ years experience.
• Experience with time-to-event methodologies and real-world data analyses.
• Proficiency in R and SQL; familiarity with ML and LLM-based coding assistants.

Responsibilities

• Partner with pharmaceutical collaborators to execute real-world evidence research plans.
• Lead derivation of complex real-world endpoints using Tempus data structures.
• Contribute to methodological best practices and reusable code for multiple collaborations.
• Incorporate AI tools and LLM workflows to accelerate analyses and documentation.
• Interpret RWE results and communicate implications to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, oncology, and data science teams to enhance data quality and analytics.
