Job description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in real estate data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing and analyzing specialized datasets—such as divorce records, bankruptcy filings, probate cases, tax liens, and pre-foreclosures—to identify motivated sellers. Your expertise will drive the development of predictive models and lead scoring systems that enhance our clients’ acquisition strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, extract, and analyze specialized real estate datasets, including but not limited to:

Bankruptcy filings

Tax liens and pre-foreclosures

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to process and manage data from multiple sources.
• Design and implement predictive models and lead scoring algorithms to identify high-potential sellers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into marketing and sales strategies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging data sources to continuously improve lead generation efforts.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the growth of the data science team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in real estate data analytics, with a focus on identifying motivated sellers.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Pandas.
• Experience with data platforms and lead generation tools (e.g., PropStream, BatchLeads).
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, public record APIs, and web scraping techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to develop predictive models and lead scoring systems.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with real estate investment strategies and investor behavior.
• Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and tools.
