About the Role:

We’re expanding our team with a solutions-focused Senior Data Engineer to think creatively and collaboratively with other data experts in figuring out solutions to our public sector clients’ toughest data challenges. In this role, you'll be part of a specialized team with exposure to a wide variety of data puzzles to solve.

What You'll Do:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders in implementing end-to-end data solutions to solve complex business requirements
• Design and implement data pipelines required for data warehouses, data lakes and data lakehouse using data transformation technologies
• Design and deploy data models based on functional and non-functional requirements
• Deploy data quality checks to ensure high quality of data
• Monitor and implement performance tuning and end-to-end process optimization as needed
• Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers

Key Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in the data engineering, analytics, engineering, or related field
• Strong experience with SQL, Python (3+ yrs), and data modeling
• Understanding of ETL/ELT tools (Airflow/ADF/AWS Glue/SSIS/Informatica/Talend/ etc.)
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Relational Database Experience (SQL Server/Snowflake/Redshift/Postgres)
• Experience with Agile software development
• Have experience in:

-- designing, building, and maintaining complex data transformation using SQL

-- building and optimizing data models within data warehouse/lakehouse

-- implementing data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• An ability to understand front-end users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude
• Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and problem-solving skills
• Drive to amplify the skills of teammates through mentoring and training junior and mid-level data engineers
• Mindset of continuous improvement and setting best practices
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
