Job summary

Phantom is seeking a Data Scientist to shape consumer products through rigorous analysis, experimentation, and reliable data. You will work with Product, Engineering, Design, and Growth to understand user behavior and guide product decisions.

You will analyze journeys, design A/B tests, define metrics, and build data models using SQL and Python. Experience with Snowflake, Dagster, and dbt is preferred, and strong collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data science or analytics with impact on product decisions.
• Strong statistics foundation and hypothesis testing.
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests.
• Advanced SQL and Python for analysis.
• Familiar with Snowflake, Dagster and dbt.
• Experience using AI coding tools in workflows.
• Ability to partner with product teams to improve activation/retention.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and communicate recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user journeys to identify opportunities and product improvements.
• Design and evaluate A/B tests with metrics and guardrails.
• Define and maintain product metrics; improve instrumentation.
• Build analytical datasets and dbt models; support ETL pipelines.
• Use Python for statistics, modeling and automation.
• Incorporate AI coding tools to accelerate development.
• Lead ambiguous problems from question to measurement and influence priorities.
