Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for the Developer Platform and Stablecoins team. You will define metrics, build user funnels, and inform product decisions using experimental data and dashboards. You may also explore stablecoin economics and liquidity programs to support global payments.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Design to influence roadmaps and understand user behavior, delivering insights that move the business forward.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, Physics, CS) with 5+ years of experience or a PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience driving impactful data science projects.
• Ability to influence external stakeholders with data-driven stories.
• Proven use of modeling frameworks to solve business problems.
• Professional experience with SQL and Python.
• Experience with digital products in iterative development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and deep dives on ambiguous problems to yield actionable insights.
• Own broad data scope from core logging to dashboards and visualizations.
• Guide code reviews and develop ETL pipelines with SQL and Python.
• Maintain statistical rigor; support experimentation and causal analyses.
