Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Data Scientist II for its Platform Data Science team. You will partner with product, engineering and design to improve core systems and user journeys, applying experimentation and advanced modeling to generate insights that move the business forward.

In this role you will diagnose funnel issues, design north-star metrics, and run causal inference approaches, with cross-functional collaboration to ensure safer, more reliable, and scalable products.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a quantitative field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience driving impact for a digital product.
• Knowledge of statistics and practical application (A/B testing, causal inference, ML).
• Experience in SQL.
• Experience in Python.
• Clear communication and proactive learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on products to answer open-ended questions and provide strategic recommendations.
• Design and guide experiments/analysis to measure impact and drive product improvements.
