Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to own pricing experimentation and strategy for Consumer & Business products. You will design tests, build models, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to define the pricing roadmap.

You will develop data pipelines powering pricing analytics and communicate findings to senior leadership, ensuring rigorous, business-driven insights across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data science experience focused on pricing experimentation, causal inference, and statistical modeling.
• 5+ years leading pricing or experimentation workstreams, incl. designing A/B tests and building predictive models.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for modeling, pipelines, and analysis.
• Track record delivering complex analytics across multiple teams from problem definition to executive presentation.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows and outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing experimentation, from test design through analysis and recommendation.
• Build and refine pricing models and evaluation frameworks that determine optimal pricing strategy across consumer products.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance to develop pricing vision, roadmap, and priorities.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and data models that power pricing analytics.
• Synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations and present them to senior leadership.
