Job summary

Back Market is seeking a senior Data Scientist for the Pricing & Quality team to design, implement, and scale AI-driven solutions that optimize fees and pricing across our marketplace.

You will collaborate with data scientists and backend engineers to translate models into production features, design experiments, and present results to stakeholders. Strong Python/SQL, ML, and experimentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years data science experience in industry.
• Impact-driven projects in live customer-facing products.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and make decisions with imperfect data.
• Strong ML and statistics knowledge; production readiness.
• Pricing, B2C marketplaces or revenue management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive pricing intelligence: design and implement ML models and optimization algorithms.
• Own projects end to end from problem definition to results presentation.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to productionize features.
• Design and analyze experiments to measure impact of fee strategies or model changes.
• Communicate findings clearly to engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
