Job summary

TDW Offshore Services AS in Salt Lake City is seeking a Lead Data Scientist/ML Engineer to model detection, identification, classification and regression of pipeline features. You will prototype new methodologies and deploy software in a production environment.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Software, Mechanical and Electrical teams, meet stakeholders, annotate and preprocess data, and drive projects using Agile methods, with responsibilities spanning research to life cycle support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience
• 5-10 years experience with object-oriented programming, test driven development, and software development life cycle
• 0-3 years experience with MS Visual Studio development environment
• 0-3 years experience with C++
• 5-10 years experience with Python
• 5-10 years experience with Regression Analysis
• 5-10 years experience with Signal Processing
• 5-10 years experience with Machine Learning Models for detection/classification

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to define solutions
• Collaborate heavily with other Data Scientists, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Operations, and other departments to creates solutions to Inline-Inspection problems
• Design, build and deploy software in a production environment
• Direct and collaborate on problems of varying complexity with support from other engineers
• Development of models/software from: research, concept, design, unit testing, code reviews, to life cycle support
• Propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies
• Review existing models and propose improvements
• Requires annotation, cleaning, and technical support for any related data utilized while developing software/models
• Estimate development durations and meet deadlines
• Plan and track projects using Agile methodology and designated project software
• Represent TDW at industry events
