Job summary

TDW is seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to design and deploy models for detection, identification, classification, and regression in Inline-Inspection contexts. You will collaborate across Data Science, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, and Operations teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role requires 5–10 years in Python, ML, and software development, plus experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch/TensorFlow and data visualization and signal processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• 5–10 years in Python, ML and software development.
• 0–3 years in C++ and Visual Studio.
• Experience with ML models for detection/classification.
• Experience with regression analysis and signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Meet with stakeholders to define solutions.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, Operations and other departments to solve Inline-Inspection problems.
• Design, build and deploy software in a production environment.
• Direct and collaborate on problems of varying complexity with support from other engineers.
• Develop models/software from research, concept, design, unit testing, code reviews to life cycle support.
• Propose and implement performance optimizations and scaling strategies.
• Review existing models and propose improvements.
• Annotate, clean, and provide technical support for data used in software/models.
• Estimate development durations and meet deadlines.
• Plan and track projects using Agile methodology and project tools.
• Represent TDW at industry events.
