Job summary

Capital One seeks a Senior Associate, Data Scientist for Personal Loan. You will join the Personal Loan Acquisition modeling team to develop ML models—predictive TDR and non-TDR—across acquisition, pricing, and verification using Python, Spark, and AWS to unlock better loan offers for customers.

You will work with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to translate insights into business impact, leveraging open-source languages and cloud platforms to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 2 years of data analytics experience
• Master's degree in quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration
• PhD in STEM field (preferred) with advanced analytics background
• Experience with AWS and open-source data science tools
• 2+ years' experience with Python, Scala, or R
• 2+ years' experience with machine learning in marketing or risk modeling
• 2+ years' experience with SQL

Responsibilities
