Job summary

Lennar is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for the People Analytics team to build models forecasting attrition and workforce needs. You will develop AI agents to deliver insights to HR leaders and partner with HR COEs and Data Engineering on data pipelines.

You’ll use Python, SQL, and LLMs to surface patterns in employee data, explain results to senior leaders, and ensure governance and security for sensitive information. This is a hands‑on, strategic role with latitude to shape the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of data science experience in production environments.
• Deep knowledge of predictive modeling: regression, time series, classification.
• Strong statistics foundation including experimentation and causal inference.
• Ability to explain methods to technical and non‑technical reviewers.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and tool use.
• Experience with large HR datasets and data cleaning via SQL or APIs.
• Fluency in SQL and Python.
• Ability to explain results to non‑technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR leaders to forecast needs and build trusted models and agents.
• Build and deploy predictive models in Python and SQL; monitor performance.
• Create AI agents to query data, reason, and act with guardrails on sensitive data.
• Select appropriate methods, run experiments, and explain results to leadership.
• Use LLMs to surface patterns in unstructured data and incorporate findings.
• Develop familiarity with Lennar’s people data and collaborate with Data Engineering.
• Explain statistical concepts and model results to non‑technical audiences.
• Handle sensitive workforce and compensation data with discretion.
