Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Scientist to lead the research and data-insight strategy for the MOI team. You will own the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from exploration to visualization, leveraging Spark, Airflow, and AI frameworks. This role requires U.S. citizenship.

You will develop ML/AI models, productionize them with software teams, design data pipelines, and define advanced KPIs to capture AWS's strategic objectives and operational complexities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of data querying languages (SQL) or scripting (Python) experience.
• 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling experience.
• 1+ years of guiding and coaching researchers.
• 1+ years of working with AI systems.
• 1+ years of creating educational content or textbooks.
• Master's degree in STEM
• Ph.D. in STEM (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to solve challenging problems using various analytical approaches.
• Develop ML/AI models and productionize them with software teams.
• Design and implement data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Define and develop advanced KPIs that reflect strategic objectives.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate KPI performance.
