Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler, a Munich Re subsidiary, is seeking a senior data scientist to work independently on diverse data science projects. You will mentor junior scientists and assign clear tasks while balancing multiple projects and deadlines.

You will frequently interface with other divisions to understand and align with business strategies and goals. Requires a strong foundation in statistics and ML, hands-on Python/R/SQL, and experience with big-data on Linux.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a quantitative field.
• PhD in related field preferred.
• 4+ years' experience in predictive analytics or 6+ years in other industries.
• Experience with feature engineering on structured and unstructured data.
• Experience with Git or similar version control.
• Experience with big-data tech on Linux.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks.
