Rockstar Games in New York City seeks a Senior Data Scientist to join the Marketing Analytics team to enhance Rockstar’s marketing analytics and business intelligence capabilities, impacting player experiences across web environments and game titles.

The role focuses on identifying, tracking, and analyzing the most relevant data in real time and historically, translating insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders across marketing, product, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (CS, Statistics, etc.).
• 6+ years of experience in web data analysis.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP requests).
• 3+ years experience in database querying with SQL and/or PySpark.
• Experience building visualizations with business intelligence tools (Google Data Studio, Tableau).
• Mastered proficiency with Google Analytics 4 or equivalent web analytics tool.
• Strong expertise with Google Tag Manager or equivalent tag management system.
• Experienced with joining web data with other data sources for deep analyses in BigQuery and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with website partners to define measurement specs and tracking.
• Own relationships with stakeholders to identify needs and translate into analyses.
• Collaborate with Marketing Analytics to develop web and player insights for campaigns.
• Standardize and maintain analytics tracking; architect scalable tracking.
• Test and validate web analytics data and work with tech teams on data issues.
• Use web data with game and business data to deliver insights on user behavior and performance.
• Build reports and dashboards for key metrics; tell stories with data.
• Monitor the effectiveness of new features and areas of our web properties.
• Stay updated on measurement technologies and involve partners in changes.
