Job summary

VTG is seeking a Data Scientist III in Chantilly, VA to independently analyze data and build models that support mission outcomes. You will translate questions into analytic approaches, develop dashboards, validate results, and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI with Poly, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and 10+ years of data analytics or science experience, with strong Python or R and SQL skills. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles.
• Strong proficiency with Python or R and SQL.
• Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and apply statistical models or machine learning techniques as appropriate.
• Design and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and analytic products.
• Translate mission or business questions into analytic approaches and outputs.
• Validate data quality, assumptions, and model results.
