Job summary

VTG is seeking a Data Scientist III in Chantilly, VA to independently analyze data and build models that support mission outcomes. You will translate questions into analytic approaches, develop dashboards, validate results, and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI with Poly, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and 10+ years of data analytics or science experience, with strong Python or R and SQL skills. This is a full-time on-site role.

• Support integration of analytics into operational or decision‑support workflows

Do you have what it takes?

• TS/SCI with Poly Required
• Bachelor’s degree inData Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles
• Strong proficiency with Python or R and SQL
• Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting IC, DoD, or DOJ mission programs, Experience working with operational, intelligence, or enterprise data, Familiarity with cloud‑based analytics environments, Experience with Agile delivery environments

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Pay Range:

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $105,000 - $230,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
