Job summary

VTG Defense in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Data Scientist III to independently perform data analysis and modeling to support mission outcomes, providing actionable insights to government and program leadership.

You will analyze large datasets, develop statistical models or machine learning techniques, design dashboards and visualizations, translate questions into analytic outputs, validate data quality, and present findings to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles.
• Strong proficiency with Python or R and SQL.
• Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Do you have what it takes?

• TS/SCI with Poly Required
• Bachelor's degree inData Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science roles
• Strong proficiency with Python or R and SQL
• Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting IC, DoD, or DOJ mission programs, Experience working with operational, intelligence, or enterprise data, Familiarity with cloudbased analytics environments, Experience with Agile delivery environments

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $105,000 - $230,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
