About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist III contributes to new product development by proposing data-driven solutions for complex customer challenges. They utilize advanced analytical techniques and become subject matter experts. The role involves collaborating with data scientists and engineers to design AI solutions, leading AI and machine learning model development, analyzing large datasets, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions.
2. Lead the development of advanced AI and machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
3. Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and trends to inform AI development.
4. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions align with business goals and customer needs.
5. Oversee automation and lifecycle management of sophisticated data systems.
6. Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on AI and machine learning best practices.
7. Design APIs for disseminating data science outputs to various business units.
8. Scale production systems to meet growing demands.

Requirements

1. Advanced or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
2. Experience working with large language models and transformer-based architectures like BERT, RoBERTa, T5, etc.
3. Proficiency with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or AWS.
4. Experience with LLMs including ChatGPT, GPT 3.5, Claude, Mistral, etc.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, leadership, and collaboration abilities.
6. Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, gradient boosting, and random forests.
7. Advanced programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages.
