Job summary

Target is seeking a Sr Data Scientist for Supply Chain Optimization in Sunnyvale. You will develop and manage state-of-the-art predictive and prescriptive models, collaborating with software engineers to deploy algorithms at scale across millions of SKUs and networks.

You will partner with business teams to understand retail processes, iterate models, and improve decision making with data-driven insights in a Hybrid work arrangement from Target HQ Sunnyvale.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or related quantitative fields
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale optimization, simulation, ML and DL implementations at scale
• Experience deploying algorithms in production environments; predictive and prescriptive algorithms

Responsibilities

• Work with data scientists to review and iterate optimization and ML algorithms
• Collaborate with engineers to deploy algorithms in production at scale
• Learn business processes and retail workflows to inform modeling
• Balance model granularity and performance with maintainability
