Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a data scientist to contribute to pricing guidance, host/guest data products, and marketplace data intelligence. You will work across cross-functional teams to build models, measurement frameworks, and data assets that drive marketplace outcomes.

You will apply causal inference, develop scalable data products, and communicate insights to leadership, supporting data-driven decision making for a global community of hosts and guests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with BS/masters, 2+ years with PhD
• Experience with experimentation, causal observational analysis, and machine learning techniques
• Ability to prototype, build, and scale derived data assets; strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Build data-driven products and models for pricing, guest and host data science tracks
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and analytics to drive data-driven decisions
• Write SQL/Python/R to model, simulate, and measure impact of new features; apply causal inference as needed
