Slickdeals is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in San Mateo, CA to shape growth by partnering with Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing. You will develop frameworks and insights that inform product decisions and growth strategies, translating complex questions into actionable analytics.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data science, strong A/B testing experience with causal inference, and fluency in SQL and Python or R, plus experience with large datasets and data visualization.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Statistics, Economics, CS, Engineering, Sciences, or other quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Proven track record with A/B tests using causal inference.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R, with large-scale datasets and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing to inform product development and growth strategy through data-driven insights.
• Identify opportunities, define success metrics, quantify business challenges, and translate questions into high-impact analytics projects.
• Build scalable measurement frameworks like lifetime value and retention models to evaluate growth initiatives.
