Calm is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to leverage consumer data and guide product and growth investments. You will help optimize acquisition, engagement, retention, and subscriber growth by turning questions into analyses, experiments, and actionable recommendations.

You will partner across product and growth marketing, design experiments, and deliver data products that inform decision-makers. This role suits those who balance rigor with pragmatic, impact‑driven work.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with Python or R.
• BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with designing, analyzing, and interpreting experiments.
• Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into technical solutions, and translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
• Strong relationship management and presentation skills.
• Pragmatic and impact-oriented, with the ability to balance scrappiness and rigor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders across product and growth marketing to analyze and communicate how trends in key metrics affect business performance.
• Partner with product teams to perform deep-dive analysis to understand user engagement behavior.
• Design, implement and analyze experiments to measure the impact of new features on core product metrics.
• Collaborate with partners across technical and non-technical teams to bridge the gap between data and action.
• Help key-decision makers stay informed about the state of the business through internal data products built in tools like Amplitude, Tableau and Mode.
• Develop strong cross-functional partnerships across Calm to drive our team's success.
