Floor & Decor Outlets of America, Inc. is hiring a Senior Data Scientist, Digital to build and run machine learning that improves the digital shopping experience. You will lead ML for product search, discovery, and personalization across site and app, deploying models with robust validation and ongoing monitoring.

Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics to scale impact and ensure quality. Location: Atlanta, GA onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning for live digital products.
• Proven ability to take multiple models into production with monitoring and retraining.
• Strong background in search, ranking, or recommendations and personalization.
• Experience with NLP, embeddings, and LLMs including retrieval and reranking.
• Proficient Python and SQL with production-grade coding practices.
• Hands-on ML lifecycle experience: training, deployment, monitoring.
• Experience with A/B testing for digital products.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).

Responsibilities

• Build and improve ML models for product search and discovery using proprietary signals.
• Develop personalization and recommendation models for site and app.
• Apply LLMs and computer vision to enrich product attributes at catalog scale.
• Partner with AI/ML leads on conversational shopping and project guidance.
• Monitor quality, cost, latency, and safety for AI-assisted experiences.
• Create durable ML assets across ecommerce platform and vendor changes.
• Lead quantitative evaluation of search and personalization vendors.
• Own production models on Databricks and support integration for site, app, and vendors.
