Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist, Digital ML to develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models that enhance the digital shopping experience on flooranddecor.com and mobile apps.

You will work with cross-functional teams to improve search, recommendations, and product discovery while ensuring model quality and governance. The role focuses on live customer-facing ML in e-commerce, applying LLMs and embeddings, monitoring models in production, and driving measurable

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree a plus.
• 3+ years of data science or ML experience with production deployment.
• Experience building ML for live, customer-facing digital products (search, recommendations, ranking, personalization, ads).
• Strong Python and SQL, production-ready code.
• ML fundamentals: classification, ranking, recommendations.
• Experience with ML lifecycle: training, scoring, deployment, monitoring.
• Experience designing A/B tests and interpreting results for business partners.
• Familiar with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot).
• Preferred: Databricks on Azure, PySpark, CI/CD for ML.
• Experience with live product personalization platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain recommendation models across site and app.
• Develop session-based models to infer shopper intent for anonymous visitors.
• Rank content, offers, and modules across home, category, product pages and app.
• Improve product search: query classification, synonyms, relevance.
• Apply LLMs/embeddings to enrich product attributes and support evaluation of features.
• Produce digital propensity/intent scores for site, app, and marketing systems.
• Contribute to shared ML assets and vendor evaluations.
• Bring personalization/search/recommendations to upcoming PRO app using history and loyalty data.
• Deploy/operate models on Databricks; monitor, retrain as needed.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and Engineering on data/tracking.
