Job summary

Confido, an AI infrastructure platform, is seeking a Data Scientist in New York City to build predictive models that forecast sales, optimize pricing, and guide promotional strategy for 200+ brands. You will work with a broad data stack and collaborate with the AI/ML engineering team to deploy production-grade insights inside the product.

You will transform diverse datasets into reliable models and analyses, shaping decisions that affect on-shelf product performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data science experience with real-world data.
• Strong foundations in regression, time-series methods, experiment design, uncertainty quantification.
• Fluent in Python and SQL; comfortable with Snowflake and dbt.
• You validate analyses and communicate uncertainty.
• You can explain a model to a non-technical brand operator and defend it to an ML engineer.

Responsibilities

• Demand and sales forecasting across thousands of retail time series.
• Promotion effectiveness measurement including lift, price elasticity, and cannibalization.
• Data quality and evaluation by building statistical checks for messy data.
